6PM:  Rangeley Qualifier for the Invitational Moose Calling Contest at Bald Mountain Camps, Oquossoc

Friday,  June 22, 2012

6AM:  Tagged Fishing Derby begins. Registration and Boat Inspection for Invasive Plants at Rivers Edge, Oquossoc

NOON:  Vendor booth set-up in Oquossoc (Registration at RRG&SA booth)

4PM:  Registration for Moose Lottery events at Moose Alley (Rangeley)

6PM:  Semi-finals of World Invitational Moose Calling Contest at Moose Alley (Rangeley)

7PM:  Begin Moose Festival Bowling Event at Moose Alley (50% of bowling revenue will be donated to Casting for Recovery)

ALL DAY:

  • Tagged Fishing Derby continues (Registration closes at 10AM)
  • Moose Alley Bowling Event continues
  • Golf Driving Range Event at Mingo Springs (Rangeley)
  • Adventure Climbing Playground (Climbing Wall / Bounce House / Bungee Trampoline) in Oquossoc Village

8:30AM:  Guide ATV Ride begins (Meet @ public Park & Ride lot on Depot St. just off Main St, Rangeley).

8:30am – Noon: Moose Stash Geocache Contest (Meet @ Oquossoc Marine)

9AM-1PM:

  • Turkey Shoot at RRG&SA Rifle & Pistol Range (Morton Cutoff Road, Oquossoc, ME)
  • Fun Trap Shooting Contest at Rangeley Sporting Clays and Trap Club (Old Skiway Road, Oquossoc)
  • 15 Target 3D Archery Contest at RRG&SA Clubhouse archery facility
  • Flycasting contest at RRG&SA Clubhouse pond
  • Canoe/Kayak Event at Ecopelagicon (Rangeley)

10AM-NOON:  Sailing Regatta / Race at Lakeside Convenience & Marina (Rangeley)

10AM – 4PM:  Art Show at The Gallery at Stoney Batter Station (Oquossoc)

10:30AM-NOON:  Rangeley Public Library Event for Children (Rangeley)

NOON- 2PM:  Rangeley Health & Wellness Pavilion Family Fitness Event (Rangeley)

12:30PM: Maine Professional Guides Meeting at Oquossoc Marine

1PM: Book signing and story telling by retired Maine Guide John Ford at Ecopelagicon (Rangeley)

2-3:30PM:  Finals of the World Invitational Moose Calling Contest at the Outdoor Sporting Heritage Museum, Oquossoc

4PM:  DIFW’s 2012 Moose Lottery Drawing at Oquossoc Marine

6:30-8PM:  Baked Bean Supper at RRG&SA Clubhouse, Oquossoc

11AM:  Conclusion of Fishing Derby
11:30AM: Fly casting demonstration by Joe Loughran at RRG&SA Clubhouse Pond
1PM: Awards Ceremony at Oquossoc Marine

  • Guide Challenge Raffle Drawing
  • Raffle for LIFETIME HUNTING/FISHING license for children under 16
